It's a cool article, although they got a few facts wrong. ADPi's first house would have been built in the early 1930s after they returned to campus, not 1905 as the article says. Also, Theta wasn't even on campus yet in 1965, when the article says the photo of their house was taken.

Pi Phi's old house with the double front doors was beautiful—it was originally built for Theta Upsilon, an extinct NPC that merged with DZ.

This link with digitized versions of the Corolla has some great old photos too:

Was theta's house built for them? Maybe another sorority that's not here anymore lived there at the time and Al.com just called it theta's

Theta's house was built for them in the late '60s (1969?). They started out in the old AEPhi house, a little of which is visible in the photo of the old DG house.

The original Alpha Phi house, which was built for them in the 1930s and was taken over by Delta Phi Epsilon after they closed. After DPhiE closed, it was used by TKE, Phi Kappa Sigma, and a few others until it was torn down for stadium expansion.

The AEPhi house, built for them in the early '60s. After they closed, Theta lived here for a year or two while their house was being built. Phi Sigma Kappa lived here in the '70s, and (someone can correct me if I'm wrong) it was Gamma Phi's very first house.

DG's very first house, which they used from their colonization until their second house was built in the early '50s:

I noticed that a number of the old houses were white -- when did the administration institute the rule (that Phi Mu ignores) that only the President's house can be white?
