by: 123I hear all the time on this site about how these girls are social, connected, rich, etc, but obviously not all of them are like that, only their top pnms right? What are the "fillers" in these houses like? What about for other OR houses?

Most are upper middle class or middle class-- lots of legacies. If the legacy isn't deemed cool, the are in a different clique. Lots of focus on partying and not on sisterhood. If that's cool with you, go for it. They normally get girls they want and then a ton they could care less about aka the fillers.

So yes, KD and KKG's top PNMs are generally wealthy, well connected, very social, very pretty girls.
However, a lot of their "filler girls" are the same way. The thing about filler girls is that these girls aren't just like taken off the street... Most of these girls are decent/average PNMs that probably isn't the most connected or from the most "desired" area. However, they're still decent and fit the "image" the house wants, so for KD a filler girl may be a girl from Kentucky, average grades, slightly prettier than your average girl, wealthy, but knows no one in the house. For KKG a filler girl may be from Maryland, good grades, average looking but fun, and knows no one in the house.
Overall, filler girls are just there to fill the pledge class out... Being a filler girl can be looked at as a good and a bad thing. Some think that it's great that girls get bids from more "exclusive" houses. Some think it's bad that girls get bids only because the house needs more numbers. Take it as you will but at the end of the day, a filler girl isn't just some weird girl off the street (for the most part), she's usually a decent PNM who lacks a certain criteria that differentiates her between a top PNM.

Like a filler may have all the same stuff as a top but lack: in-house connection? If so, that gets fixed fast.
