sisterhood

by: pnm

So which houses have a great sisterhood? Minimal drama, nice to each other and seem genuinely happy?

I KNOW that judging sisterhoods is subjective because unless you're a part of it you'll never truly know... However just based on what I've seen around campus and from stories friends in other houses have told me these are the houses with "stronger" sisterhoods (or at least with minimal drama and welcoming attitudes):

AXO
XO
KAT
DG
ADPI

Depends. If you want Lame hetero sisterhood, maybe tridelt or aoii. If u want sisters in the traveling pants and rainbow flags, def xo.

I know of six lesbians in sororities and they definitely aren't XOs.

The thing about sisterhood is that it is so hard to define and it's really going to vary by person. For example, a girl from Mt Brook might be super happy in KD and KKG because they are instantly surrounded by a lot of their friends just like they wanted - that's a good sisterhood for them. A girl in AXO or AGD might find lots of girls to study with and go to church with - good sisterhood for her. Someone else might find a group of girls in ZTA or APhi that shares their style and vibe.

It's ALL about who you meet and who you mesh with. Sometimes northern girls hate their new row houses and southern girls hate their old row houses. Sometimes girls who like to go out a lot can't find a friend group in a "party" house. Sometimes (gasp) people CHANGE, and the house they thought they'd love on bid day ends up being a bad decision for them 1-2 years later.

People tend to complain about their house's sisterhood until they find a group that works for them, or they hype up their house's sisterhood until they encounter some form of drama. You can't make a list like this. Much like in real life, that's not how sisterhood works.
