football game visitors

by: bama

I know this isn't related to greek life, but could someone explain how visitors are able to come to football games with us? I have the package for the TN and Ole Miss game and my sister wants to come for one. is there a way for her to come to the student section with me? they kind of explained upgrading a ticket at bama bound, but I didn't really understand. again sorry this is irrelevant to sororities,

Fair question. I don't think they can get into the student section unless they sneak over in some way.

You could try to find a student who looks like the visitor and have them use that ID to get into the student section.

its all electronic transfer stuff combined with your student ID. Kids can get their ticket privileges revoked if they participate in a deal like you are asking about. most visitors set in regular or visitor seating areas. if you want to hang out, you go to them....

The upgrade process is on the football website. Just a tip though- it's a lot easier if you upgrade your own ticket for your guest and have someone transfer you theirs for yourself. Not a lot of people will go stand in line to upgrade their own and then sell it to you, at least not without charging you more.

So I don't think anyone who posted actually goes here yet. My sister has come to visit me twice and sat in the student section both times with me. You need to buy a student from someone else and ask them to "upgrade" their ticket. This means that they will go to the ticket office and get a paper copy of the ticket because your sister doesn't have an act card. Whoever you buy from will make you pay the upgrade fee (determined by the University) and will likely make you pay more for the ticket then they originally asked for. This is because every time someone "upgrade" they get points. Too many points and you can't buy tickets the next season
