time commitment
by: pnmHow many hours per week is spent on sorority commitments during pledgeship? And after you've been initiated? I'm planning on rushing(obviously) but I also want to do club sports, research, keep strong grades, etc and don't want to get in over my head.

Well, a lot of sororities like for their members to be involved around campus, it helps their image so to speak. If you're on a sports team or in a club you would have to tell your sorority and they would excuse you from certain events like a chapter or whatever. Your first semester I wouldn't go crazy and join 12 different clubs just because fall semester is already so hectic, sorority or not.

Considering that I'm only like rushing just to see if Greek life is for me, I highly doubt that my sorority will be the only thing I'm involved in.
