places you choose

To all freshman:
The house you choose really does not matter how you will spend the next 4 years. Don't feel like people will dislike you or like just because of the house you're in. I'm here to tell you that at Alabama every house is basically the same. You'll find pretty much the same type of guys or girls in every house. Sure, some differ a little more than other but for the most part, your next 4 years are only how you make it. Just because you're in a house on University doesn't mean everyone will like you and just because you're on Jefferson doesn't mean that people will think you're less than someone on university. Just remember, make these next 4 years how you want them to be. Go out, talk to people, make friends with other people not in your house. Make friends with sorority girls, GDI's, anything. Do not think everyone's coming to you cause wake up call, they are not. I'm in an Off Campus fraternity and I have made some of the greatest friends I'll ever make. Just cause you're in an off campus fraternity doesn't make you a loser. If you like the guys, go there! You get to do everything that everyone else does. Sure having a big house is cool but it's not the greatest part of college. Join clubs! Don't be the guy that's only in a fraternity , be part of other things as well and get involved in the school. Try hard in school. Make college how you wanna make it and don't worry what people think of you cause at the end of the day, if you're happy than it was all worth.
