Sigma Kappa - ΣΚ Sorority at University of Alabama Tuscaloosa - UA 1.7 this chapter needs work. they should have chosen quality over quantity but i know there are a handful of decent people in there. a little strict when it comes to standards and definitely way too expensive for what you get out of it. there are a few really pretty people and a lot of um other ppl. the personalities of all these girls really clash and i know they really wanted diversity while choosing their members. but it is almost impossible to determine what kinda sorority this is, party sorority, weirdo sorority, smart sorority. you cant tell bc all the girls are all over the place. my friend and her friend group were party animals and nice and funny and really brought a great face and name to sk at bama but theres only a few ppl like that. the rest are quiet and take things way too seriously. they need to chill on being so proper and have fun with this new chapter while the sorority is actually still on campus. i say get well known and a good rep as social people on campus. focus on making the parties really awesome and get that amazing rep as a very social and fun sorority, but the quality of girls they have just isnt making that happen. for future pcs they should really focus on what kinda girls they want in the sorority and not just numbers. that doesnt help anyone. maybe they want the rep of unorganized and all over the place and not consistent. IDK, im just saying it doesnt look so good :) good luck tho girls

I think the point is that they are not any "one kind" of sorority. Nationally, they are known as being diverse and inclusive, and I think that's admirable when too many houses seek out the same cookie-cutter types of girls.

Sigma Kappa - ΣΚ Sorority at University of Alabama Tuscaloosa - UA 3.0 Sigma Kappa is a wild card. Unlike most sororities, Sigma Kappa cannot be described in one adjective. Everyone has unique qualities and it somehow all works together. From an outsider's perspective, this pledge class seems to be the closest compared to any other pledge class on campus. What most people do not realize is that there is a lot of pressure on these girls. In being the first members of a new chapter, they are constantly in the spotlight. Many of these girls are involved in more than one organization/club in addition to holding an officer position for this brand new chapter. There is a lot to be said for the girls who have stuck with the chapter, even through the highs and lows.

Sigma Kappa - ΣΚ Sorority at University of Alabama Tuscaloosa - UA 4.5 Although they’re new, they are definitely doing everything they can to find their place on campus. These are some of the most genuine girls you will meet, and most didn’t go through formal rush. Sisterhood and giving back to the community are high priorities for these girls. Sigma Kappa is one of the top sororities around the country so I have no doubt that they will be in the top at Alabama in no time, especially once they have a house built.

Although they’re new, they are definitely doing everything they can to find their place on campus. These are some of the most genuine girls you will meet, and most didn’t go through formal rush. Some of the girls are gorgeous and party animals who didn’t want to be in other sororities because they’re so bad ass or too strict, however you also get a mix of nerdy big girls who you would assume belonged in Theta or not in Greek life at all. They don’t represent Alabama Greek life, however they’re doing a killer job making a name for themselves and getting involved on campus. Get to know the good ones!!!! 💜
