it’s over, boys.

by: The good die young.

The time has officially come.

Today marks the day where we face sanctions of historic proportion. The Greek system we’ve came know, we’ve grown to enjoy, and that we’ve used as a catalyst out of our childhoods and into the precarious landscape that is young adulthood — is now gone.

Has Greek life changed for the better? To be honest with you, I am not sure. Only time will tell.

All I know & all that we can come to understand as a campus, is that this last decade of our existence will be remembered as a sort of ‘golden hour’ for our kind.

Friday evening dye with some chill rushes & your closest girl friends? Rest easy my dear friend.

Orientation week stumbling through Collegetown, hopping from one unknown house to the next? You’re in a better place.

Open parties, meeting new people, networking for our campus life and our futures? God bless the dead.

Being PROUD to be a Greek member, being a part of a unique, complex, & socially cultured community? Until next time.....

So, let us take a moment of silence. Let us bow our wet and bloodied heads. For today, we have lost the fight. We do not know what the future holds.

Yet,

We must smile, reminiscing of the times of unabashed squalor. And finally, must we not cry because it’s over, but for our legacy’s sake, let us f-u-ckin smile because it ever f-u-ckin happened.
