Gamma phi is normally such a strong top tier sorority at most southern schools but this chapter brings shame to that reputation. They can barely keep up membership and had the smallest pc 21 class out of any of the sororities by far. Their philanthropy is cute but i never see anything about them raising money or trying to get other people involved around campus. It’s like they only really care about the philanthropy once a year when they have the race and then I have no idea what they do after that. I’ve known so many people who have said the chapter is like night and day after recruitment and everyone is so different after bid day. They had a ton of girls drop this year and their dues are crazy expensive considering they literally have no functions. They literally could only get a mixer with TDX bc none of the other frats want to have anything with them. I never see any of them out and I have heard from so many members that it’s hard to make friends bc they are so cliquish. every PNM comes into rush knowing they are the worst and so it’s hard to get away from that reputation. Personally if I were a PNM I would stay far away from this sinking ship and join a different sorority where you will get more out of your college experience.

When I came in as a sophomore I had such high hopes of actually meeting my sisters and making friends. But instead they robbed me from my own pin, I paid the money for my gamafi beta pin just to not receive it. The only person there that excepted me was just my family sisters what you get on reveal day. All of the other girls claim that they loved you and cared for who you were but a lot of them were skinny girls with blonde or brunette hair with no tattoos and I was the complete opposite about that. I have an athletic body with tattoos and my hair was brunette but they stared at me and looked at me like I didn’t belong and no one spoke to me no matter how many times I try to interact nobody wanted to be friends with me the most that they did was follow me on Instagram to see another follower.

The girls are very nice. No one is fake. Everyone is inclusive. I love the energy and love for eachother in the sorority. The sisters love being involved and helping our philanthropy cause.

Was in this sorority for my freshman year and what a mistake! The girls are rude and sloppy. For semi formal most girls got too drunk to even make it to the dance and we got in HUGE trouble from the venue. Never really made any friends there cuz most of the girls are rude and majorly liberal. I will say that nationally gphi isn’t a bad sorority but at ISC it’s considered bottom tier.

honestly feel bad for them. majority are very sweet but don’t really know if they will ever get out of bottom. every pc knows coming in that people think they suck. also know that they trick some girls into liking them so they will look better when they join which is so messed up. literally just sell your sorority for what it is and stop trying to trick people into thinking ur something ur not. could go up with that but most likely never will. sad.

This sorority I would say is pretty average. Their leadership is good, they have lots of very friendly girls and they’re smart. They’re not the most popular on campus tho. They’re very genuine and they have a rep of being super liberal but all the girls I’ve met are pretty chill

Gamma Phi may not be the most popular sorority, but they are the most welcoming in my experience. They aren't too stuck on self image to have fun, and they won't look at you weird for saying hi. They seem like they have a really genuine sisterhood.

Gphi is like the land of misfit toys. It's giving horse girl. It's giving high school band. It's giving theater kid to sorority girl pipeline. If that's what you're looking for, then it's not a bad thing! I know they have genuine friendships and they have real love in their sisterhood. During rush I loved every individual I spoke with, they were all so genuinely excited. There is a stigma about this particular chapter though, and I'm not sure how else to describe it. Many girls dropped after getting their bid, many girls dropped early on in the fall semester. If you want to go GPhi because it feels like home to you, then don't let silly things like Greek Rank change your mind. But if you don't know much about greek life at usc, i would bluntly say keep your options open.
