Pants instead of dresses or shorts…
by: JeansWhat if a PNM wears jeans, beach pants, etc. instead of dresses or cute umbrella shorts etc. to rounds? Would that be a definite no or not? I’m talking about cute well-fitting attire, good grooming, etc. But a bit different attire. Thoughts.

I would go on TikTok and ig to see what others wear. Go to the srat you like and look. They only have a few minutes to determine if you are a fit for them and clothes do go into that. But also be comfortable. If you want to wear dressy pants, or jeans, the sorority who vibes will that will want you.

Definite no. Showing your own personal 'different' style is great, but it is important to do it appropriately, and what you described is too casual and not appropriate. Intentionally dressing down like that is disrespectful to the occasion. You would give the impression that you either don't get it or don't care, neither of which is what a sorority chapter is looking for. Besides, it's hot and humid as hell so jeans are a terrible idea.

It will get you cut by a lot of sororities. You will be showing you don't want to follow the rules set out. Kind of like not wearing the expected clothing for an interview. In fact rush is pretty much an interview process. Don't do something that will make you stand out in a bad way.
