fitting in
by: ?how can you tell which sorority you'll fit in the best with?

Go with your gut, where you feel most comfortable and where you don't feel you'll have to change or act a certain way to fit in. Don't listen to gossip, listen to your inner voice and pray on it if you feel the need.
Just remember that the sororities are really the ones doing the picking. We are pretty good at figuring out what PNMs will fit in the best with our current sisters. It doesn't mean we didn't like you, it means that we saw qualities in other PNMs that would be better suited.
Even when you end up in a house that you don't think was the best one for you during rush, once everything settles down and we're all back to normal life, most people realize they really did end up in a better house for them and a house they were totally crushing on during rush would have been a disaster for them.
Remember that you're only meeting a small percentage of sisters during rush, and there are so many others to meet once you are a new member! Also remember you're going to have an entire pledge class of new members to bond with. Look around at all the other PNMs at your preference parties and try to imagine how you'd fit in with them because those are going to be some of your new sisters.
Did I mention don't listen to what other people are telling you and gossiping about? Haha that's really important! Good luck! See you on the other side!

You mostly end up with people who look like you. Most people overestimate their own looks, hence they believe they belong with a group of people better looking then they are. And then they are upset when they get dropped. Go into rush knowing that you will probably end up where you belong.
