which houses take the most sophomores?

by: Another girl rushing

Wow, seems like a lot of sophomores are rushing this year! Anyways, I keep seeing posts about as a sophomore your options are limited but nobody mentions which house take the most or cut the most sophomores.... I know tri delt and chi o drop a lot of sophomores... But which houses generally take more? I hear pi phi takes quite a few relatively soeaking and found that surprising... Thoughts?

It's not that I care about top houses. It makes sense that too houses would drop more. And I just happened to hear about pi phi. However, I really do not want to go unhoused.

You need to be open to every chapter whether they have a house or not. As a sophomore you are at a disadvantage, you will not be in control of your recruitment until preference night when you get to rank you pref chapters. You may not have the choices you think you will have come January.

Also keep Sigma Kappa in mind, they will have a house. It's already in the works.

pi phi and DZ will take sophmores... but you have to be a pnm that brings a lot to the house ( ex: IUDM)

Does it really matter? There's nothing you can do about it. Most sophomores will not have a full invite schedule after first round due bc they are sophomores. Nothing you can do about that but embrace the sororities that do invite you back or be a quitter and never know Greek life. My advice - don't rule anyone out until you see where you stand. dont back yourself into a corner by saying I will only join A,B OR C. You may be disappointed in the short run but love it in the long run.

As a woman in an unhoused sorority, it really disappoints me to read things like this. I am SO in love with my sisterhood and the friendship and opportunity it's brought me. A house shouldn't define what you want out of your sisterhood.

axid, zeta, and dg take semaphores, it helps if you already know people in the chapter.

There are many logistical reasons why houses do not take a whole pledge class full of upperclassman. If you stop and think about
