Freshman, you want the craziest greek experience?

Freshman rushes, if you want the craziest top notch greek experience possible, you have to look at the big 6 and core 4.
This is NOT saying that other chapters are bad or really any “less”, but there is a distinction with the divide. You can get an incredible experience at ANY chapter at Indiana. The distinction of the big six and core four are not taking away from that fact.
The reality is that these fraternities and sororities separate themselves from the rest in their quality of parties, pairs, brother/sisterhood, difficulty of the pledge process, but more so the quality of parties.
If your social life is particularly important, which I know for many it’s not a priority and that’s totally fine, youve gotta rush the big 6 and core 4

You should join a sorority where you feel like you can take your shoes off and be apart of what they have going on. It’s not about the name of the house that should get you through rush. You’re going to get dropped by some top houses in the process— no one ends up with all top houses by the end. It should really be where you feel most comfortable that you end up joining, not where you feel like you have to be someone you’re not.

^^Amen. And, frankly, I came to school to get an education. I like a good party just like anyone else. But, I am not here to get sloppy drunk 5-6 nights a week. Being in a house where everyone expects you to go out all the time wouldn't align with my priorities. There is a reason why Pi Phi, Kappa and APhi are consistently in the bottom of the academic rankings. Find a house that has members who share you interests. Don't rank a house higher because they party more, which is really all these juvenile rankings are about.
