Good question. Whatever happens will affect them greatly. So if they ARE allowed to take pledges this spring, how many of them can live in the house? Everybody I know is already signing contracts for next year. So they’re going to be underwater $$$-wise with their house much less than full. Also, how many girls have been kicked out or decided to resign?
Or—they could be CLOSED for a few years.
The worst thing for them is NOT KNOWING where they stand. Or do they and aren’t allowed to say? Who knows?

From what I’ve heard any Frat or sorority on cease and desist can’t be kicked off by their nationals or IU at this point in time due to not being able to supply housing for them. They could be kicked off once the semester ends but not in the middle of it. So, chances are they know what will happen but aren’t able to talk about it.

Not true. The national organization can ultimately decide to pull a chapter..anyone remember Kappa Sigma? Their charter was pulled before IU had taken any action on the C&D.
XO is done. All of the sophomores have signed apartment leases, there is no pledge class to move in the house. They don't have time to take a pledge class and initiate them before semester's end. They will do the classy thing and go quietly.
