Can I join a frat if I transfer but was initiated into a different frat at my old school

You can't with sororities, would assume fraternities are the same.

You aren't supposed to but it happens with fraternities, we had a couple of guys transfer and they joined Pike at SMU and the other guy joined Sig Ep at UNT , we also took a guy who had been s Sig Ep at another school.
There was some discussion about taking the Sig Ep but ultimately we decided he would be a good fit and it was our decision as a chapter . He actually resigned from Sig Ep.
