This is not true. Many brothers are highly active in on campus governance. They are very friendly and involved. I implore you to meet some of them.

Zeta Beta Tau - ΖΒΤ Fraternity at University of Texas at Austin - UT 2.2 Very middle tier frat. They’re better than a lot of frats here like sammy and Fiji, but they’re big enough to throw real parties. The main issue is they’re creepier, weird, summer, and far less fun than a number of other frats.

Zeta Beta Tau - ΖΒΤ Fraternity at University of Texas at Austin - UT 2.5 They have a pretty decent house for parties but besides that a lot of the brothers are straight up jerks to girls and guys alike. Was at a rager a few days ago and was talking to two super cool pledges of a different fraternity, but those guys were soon dragged out by the necks by a chubby overcompensating man. They also ran out of Whiteclaw and every girl I know hates Natty so...girls, I'll give you a heads up and go to parties elsewhere :(
