getting a bid just from formal rush?

Hi,

I want to be in a fraternity, but I haven't really been hanging out many of the fraternities much. I've heard it's kind of important to get to know the brothers before you even start rush. Is this true? Can i still get a bid from a good fraternity even if I hadn't met the guys before formal rush?

Yeah you should be fine. Just make a point to talk to as many brothers as you can so they can vouch for having positive interactions with you

Thanks! If I find out which ones I really want to rush, how many nights should I go to their events? Or does each fraternity only have one open night and then you get invited to an invite-only? I'm not really sure how it works.
