hey guys i like a couple frats and have a prebid at one of them but wondering if i should join or nah. kinda hesitant but curious about pluses and minuses. is pledging really that bad?

Don’t take the prebid, continue rushing elsewhere and find which house you like the most. If they like you enough to prebid you you’ll get a regular bid at that house. Rush the brothers, not the frat. If the guys are worthwhile; pledging will be worthwhile.
