can transfer students rush with the freshman in the winter?

technically yes but there you will most likely end up with no bid or 1 from the bottom. non-freshman will need to know most of the people in the frat/sorority before rushing to get a bid

This is a bit exaggerated, you don't have to know most of the people but yeah rushing as a sophomore does require a few connections to stay competitive with the freshmen rushees you compete with for a bid, because most want freshmen (as they stay in the frat longer).

In the past sophomore transfers and even some junior transfers were given the same consideration as freshmen at the vast majority of chapters, but with upperclassman rush having just happened, idk if that’ll still be true this round.
