That combination makes it really easy to slip into full people-pleasing mode - nodding along to everything, never pushing back, doing whatever it takes to get initiated. And honestly? A student at CSU Long Beach is alleging that fraternity hazing led to a car crash in Riverside County that killed his friend. That's the short version. And honestly, there's no way to write about something like that without feeling the weight of it first - before any analysis, before any broader commentary about Greek life. Someone died. A friendship ended on a highway because of something that allegedly started inside a fraternity ritual. That has to be said out loud before anything else.
