do freshmen live in the sorority houses and do the sororities haze?

Freshmen are not allowed to live in off-campus greek housing. You are only allowed to live off campus your sophomore through junior years.
On the hazing note, sororities do not haze. Hazing is prohibited by the National Panhellenic Council, and a chapter can be shut down if hazing is heard of in any women's chapter.

No there is no hazing (that I know of) Though I'v heard stories of weird traditions from other chapters, nothing bad or damaging happens.
