Waterloo is a school that's known pretty much everywhere for its engineering and co-op programs, and the campus culture reflects that — it's intense, tech-focused, and academic in a way that shapes everything else about student life, including the Greek system. The system here is on the smaller side, with a handful of IFC fraternities and Panhellenic sororities making up the bulk of organized Greek life. There's no NPHC or MGC presence to speak of at this point.

The organizations you'll find on campus include fraternities like Sigma Chi, Alpha Epsilon Pi, Pi Kappa Alpha, and Zeta Psi, along with sororities Alpha Omicron Pi, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Sigma Lambda Gamma.
