New Greek Council

What is this new Greek council? Who are these people? My org never asked people about running for positions. Did someone just make it and decide who’d get it based on who they liked? Not a democracy at all, and not what Greek life is about.

That’s exactly what they did, it’s based out of uottawa orgs and was formed through back room meetings lmao

The Ottawa Greek Council is covering all of Ottawa for sororities and Frats. There were formal elections held in January where every pres and vpe in Ottawa was invited. I believe every Ottawa org was in attendance! They are new and in the process of making bylaws but goals are to better manage events and provide essential seminars. There are 7 orgs representing on the executive team as well. I think it’s a great thing and will continue to be so once it’s up and running. Can’t wait to see what they do!
