Fairleigh Dickinson University, College at Florham - FDUCF Overview

  About Greek Life at FDUCF

Florham Park, New Jersey isn't exactly a sprawling college town, but Fairleigh Dickinson University's College at Florham has a Greek community that's genuinely woven into campus social life. It's a smaller private school, so the system is more intimate than what you'd find at a big state university — but that also means it's easier to get to know people across different chapters.

On the fraternity side, you've got IFC-affiliated chapters including Alpha Kappa Lambda, Phi Sigma Kappa, Sigma Chi, Tau Kappa Epsilon, and Zeta Beta Tau, alongside Lambda Theta Phi and Iota Phi Theta, which fall under multicultural and NPHC umbrellas respectively. The sorority side runs through Panhellenic, with Delta Phi Epsilon, Phi Sigma Sigma, Theta Phi Alpha, and Zeta Tau Alpha all active on campus. It's a solid mix of national organizations covering a few different councils.

Rush and recruitment here tend to feel more low-key compared to big Greek schools. Because the campus itself isn't massive, recruitment is pretty accessible — you're not dealing with thousands of students competing for bids. Interest meetings, casual events, and word of mouth play a big role in how people find their chapter. It's the kind of system where you actually interact with current members pretty early in the process.

Don't expect a Greek Row or dedicated chapter houses here. Like most smaller private schools in the Northeast, chapters typically don't have residential houses on or near campus. Social events, philanthropy programming, and brotherhood or sisterhood activities happen through campus spaces and off-campus venues. Philanthropy is a real part of what the chapters do — each organization ties into its national foundation's causes, and there's a decent amount of fundraising and service events throughout the academic year.

Greek life at FDU Florham is one piece of the social scene, not the only piece. For a campus this size, having multiple active fraternities and sororities across different councils gives students some real options when it comes to finding a community that fits them.
