UMD is a commuter-heavy campus on the outskirts of Detroit, and that context shapes pretty much everything about how Greek life operates here. It's a smaller system overall, but there's a real mix of organizations across multiple councils — IFC fraternities, Panhellenic sororities, and NPHC chapters are all represented, which is notable for a school this size.
