Light the Flame
by: Ben Lemmon
In London town when night descends,
The Pike house wakes among its friends.
The music hits, the brothers claim,
There’s only one way: light the flame.
From Richmond streets to Western’s halls,
You hear the roar, you hear the calls.
No quiet night, no timid game,
When Pike rolls out and lights the flame.
Raise the flag and pour the cup,
The boys are here, the night’s fired up.
Stories born that earn their fame,
Another chapter, light the flame.
Through winter cold and September rain,
The legend grows, the chants remain.
Years may pass, but still the same:
Pike in London lights the flame.
So when the night is young and bright,
And London’s glowing late at night,
One shout rings out, one proud refrain:
PIKE! PIKE! LIGHT THE FLAME!
