sorority rushing advice

Dear incoming pnms i’m going to give you solid advice as a ubc sororities alum:

1. Don’t talk poorly about girls, lower tier sororities, or being dirty rushed to ur RC’s. Too many times i’ve seen girls we liked get dropped because guess what RC’s talk and can screw ur chances of getting ur top house

2. Ur highschool reputation matters and will follow u as ur going to recruitment. Sry its inevitable all you can do is do your best, showcase ur best personality to other sororities that aren’t biased

3. If u rlly care (even tho i think u should j be urself) scope sorority instagrams and see what kind of fits, personalities, and vibes u get and tune into the ones u like most.

4. Being dirty rushed does not mean u have an automatic bid, and vice versa not being dirty rushed doesn’t mean u won’t get into ur top choice.

5. Bring spare shoes on pref or don’t wear uncomfortable heels, you will die by the eod.

6. Don’t talk about frats or how u want to join so you can party or find a bf (this should b obvious)

Lastly be urself but be ur best self (be polite, on time, and dress nice! whatever ur style mayb). Sry if it’s blunt but in most experiences this is true, best of luck!
