Incoming freshman be careful of Aphi
by: aphiWant to give a warning to incoming freshman because I think they should know what they’re getting into. I just graduated so I finally think it’s cool to come out and say this but me and all my friends rushed Aphi our freshman year and just wanted to warn incoming freshman that this house is not what you think it is. All of us ended up dropping our third year because none of us actually liked being in the house once we got to know the people and the way the house is run. It’s a bunch of girls that care a lot about social media and how they appear, hence why they have so many followers and are ruling this site as the “top house”, but not a lot of actual sisterhood or bonding actually goes on once you’re in the house. Granted yes I did meet good friends through aphi but we all bonded because of how much we hated aphi. They are also scary good at rush and coming from someone who has been on both sides, they know what they are doing. But just be careful because I’m super bummed I didn’t join any of the other 4 tops, or frankly any other Greek house, because all of our friends across Greek life really enjoy it and stayed until their senior year and we got kinda screwed over by joining Aphi. Also not sure if this is transparent going into it but our dues were more expensive than any other house in the acres. Just thought I should come out and say this because I remember looking at greekrank before I rushed and having aphi being listed as “top” everywhere as a factor in my mind, but trust me that any other house you will likely be better off unless you’re an influencer or someone that doesn’t rlly care about making friends or the sisterhood at all. Just thought I would share.

I’m not sure if the OP is being completely honest, but there is some truth. Senior here. I dropped Aphi at the end of rush to pick another solid house. I just felt more connected to the other house. I had no idea (at the time) that I was dropping the perceived Top house. Had a friend pick Aphi and she was always jealous of my experience. Aphi clearly has good looking girls that get the invites. Just not my vibe. I am very thankful that I was clueless of their reputation. Go with your gut!

reading this truly baffled me. at EVERY single house there are going to be a variety of girls that you like/don’t like. for you to immediately say these things about aphi just shows you were never in aphi. i know TONS of aphis and the majority of them are nothing like the kind of girls that you are talking about. they keep getting a bad wrap based on these trolls on this site but for why?? jealousy?? not every house is perfect but i can assure you that aphi is full of genuine girls with actual personalities. not to mention they have a strong sisterhood so i’m sorry you had that “experience”. it’s an amazing house full of genuine, smart, beautiful & confident women so do NOT believe this jealous, attention-seeking post.

It’s 10 PM on a Friday night and you’re writing paragraphs about Alpha Phi. Your post and this entire thread written from old, bitter ladies say way more than any Alpha Phi you write about 😭 What a LOSER! Aphi doesn’t even give AF about this site and once again will get their amazing, beautiful ladies that your favorite frat boys will be taking to all the best date parties and NOLA 😍 Enjoy writing your paragraphs though!

I agree. Rushed and got a bid from aphi but dropped because the girls there were super fake and never really welcomed me into the house. Sure they get invites, but it’s just not worth it. If you’re looking for more than just a reputation of being in a “top” house (even though they definitely don’t deserve that title, don’t rush aphi.
