2023 Rankings w/ reasons Pt. 2

(6): The middle of mid tier! Basically the same general description as (5) but to a higher degree, we’ll start with Pi Kapp. It’s basically just a mid house on frat row with good size but little else, especially since they barely throw. Fiji gets a lot of slander because they are the only real frat on campus, but the parties are actually really fun and the house is downright gorgeous. But, being on campus makes it feel like it’s own island instead of frat row. Next we have Far Sig, which is known for throwing a few ragers and some pretty chill brothers. You may be wondering why it’s here then? Well, similar to Fiji, it’s not on frat row, and while it is only two blocks, that still greatly diminishes its value. In addition, they strangely and rather stupidly don’t have a yard for daylongs despite the front yard being massive. Finally we have ZBT. This house is rapidly gaining momentum thanks to their acquisition of a sick new property, but they still got a ways to go before they can live up to their potential, but some banging parties have certainly got them pointed in the right direction.
(7): The bottom of the mids! Let’s get right into it with DSig. They have a pink house and were once highly regarded in the Greek life community. However, they have fallen off majorly, and the fact that they are sandwiched right between two well respected houses (BSB and Sig Ep) and just aren’t what they were anymore is frankly astonishing. Next we have PKT and ASig, which honestly have the same issue as DSig but the other way around. These houses are also sandwiched between well regarded houses (Sig Chi, DChi and Pike), but have slowly become bigger and better over time. While not as meteoric of a rise as say Sig Pi or ZBT, they will likely continue to go up as time goes on, but for now, they definitely belong here. But as Hannah Montana once said, “it’s the climb.”
(8): This is the lower middle cut off line for most people. These four houses are the last things before bottom tier, and being in one is not the end of the world, but certainly won’t bring you the most social opportunities as others. To start, we have the best house and yard in Greek life, Chi Phi. However, that all becomes irrelevant because they are “that” house, as in I’d strongly suggest bringing a cohort of friends if you are a female (honestly, you should probably do this at every house). TEP is on frat row and the brothers seem fine, but said brotherhood is small, and the house itself is even smaller. I genuinely don’t know how they throw, it looks like a townhouse, especially when compared to Acacia across the street. SAE is not the old SAE many old heads here know and love, because that once top house got shut down and this new colony is struggling to find its footing so far. Who knows, their house is pretty neat and in a solid location, but they don’t seem to be moving anywhere just yet. Finally we have skulls. From the outside, it looks spectacular, especially considering it is directly on Beaver Ave. However, I can only really describe skulls in the following statement: They are like a bunch of people not in a fraternity cosplaying as people in a fraternity.
(9) The following houses are either too small, co-Ed, professional or have a crappy house or no house at all. Most have a combination of all above. AXP, ADPhi, AKL, APX, AZ, DTS, Pi Lamb. Treehouse, Triangle, TChi
