sorority comments

Drove past their house today and its super nice. They are going to get such a good pledge class because of that and they will just continue to improve on campus.

That person wasn't saying that Phi Mu is better than Alpha Phi NOW, they were saying they are better than Alpha Phi during their first year. Which I would have to agree with. For those of us here to experience their first year it was a hot mess, so snaps to them because they have come a helluva long way! As for Phi Mu I think they have potential I wouldn't write them off yet! I wouldn't say they aren't involved... I saw them at every greek event spring semester including my own sororities philanthropy event. And maybe its just me but I had four of them in one of my big lectures and at least one of them was wearing letters everyday.

Not that great. Thats really all you need to know.

Phi Mus are really clickish & and can barely get anything accomplish. My best friend was a Phi Mu for a while and then dropped and join another sorority. They have sooooo Much internal problems!

Alpha Phis are CRAAZZYY and pretty much INSANE! I think ive met like one normal Alpha Phi

to put it honestly phi mu was the sorority that took in all the girls who didn't get into a house at formal rush. partly because it's a new sorority and also because it's just a bunch of random girls put together. I would not consider this house a top choice if you're serious about rushing

PNMs, I remember being in your shoes and looking at this website last year before I went through recruitment. I thought I had it all figured out just from reading the comments on here and I cannot emphasize enough how wrong I was. As soon as I went to my first open house everything I had read on this website completely disappeared from thoughts because I realized about 99% of it is WRONG. This website is not a good tool for predicting which sororities you will like nor does is accurately project greek life at UK. Each sorority has about 150 girls in it, and out of those 150 girls, how many do you think leave comments on this site? One, maybe two. What you are reading here are very limited opinions from the girls who are most obsessed with having a good image. I promise that as soon as you step into the first house you won't even remember a thing this website said, good or bad. You're all intelligent young ladies who will be able to tell for yourselves where you belong. Good luck :)

It's Phi Mu's first year (going on second year) on campus, of course they're not going to be that involved. You can't expect them to be the most involved in their first year. Every sorority has a sisterhood, whether it's a strong or weak one. If there wasn't a sisterhood, technically there'd be no sorority. Just because YOU haven't seen that many of them around doesn't mean that there's almost no girls in that sorority. Plus with Alpha Phi, they're also still relatively new. No need to talk down to both of them so it looks like your sorority's better. I personally think with this year if they clean up how they are more, then they have potential. Not as top tier necessarily but potential at being above where they're at now.

I'll admit neither sorority is that great. Maybe for the PNM that stumbles upon their houses will think so, but in my opinion, no. Alpha Phi's are I'll admit crazy and insane. But Phi Mu, yes they may be cliquish (from what a friend in Phi Mu said), I'll admit that they should of found a better way to get their girls. But it's a new year and hopefully they both use that time to improve what's all needed to be fixed or built.

APhi and Phi Mu are both "bad" by tier standards but that doesn't mean you won't like them. They need good girls in order to get better :)
