If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t have chosen the sorority I ended up in. I’m not going to name names because this isn’t about bashing anyone, but I made my decision based on where a lot of older girls from my hometown were, not on where I truly felt at home.
I ignored my gut feeling and chose what I thought I was supposed to pick. Looking back, I wish I hadn’t. The house ended up being really cliquey, and because so many of the girls already knew each other, it was hard to break in and feel like I belonged.
Chi O, KD, and Pi Phi would be my pick if I had to do it all over again. My friends in those are so happy and I loved them during recruitment.
So if you’re going through recruitment, let this be your reminder: trust your gut. Don’t base your decision on what’s familiar or where older girls from your high school went. Go where you feel excited, welcomed, and comfortable. That’s where your real sorority story begins.

You need to trust the process. All of the sororities have something good to offer. You will know which one is the best match for you as you do through. Do not go in thinking that you only want one or two of the houses because they are considered top. Your opinions on certain houses will likely change as you do through the process.

Yes, trust the process. All the houses are good and had a lot of great girls. Every house is very diverse with its members for the most part so you will find your people.

from someone who went through recruitment last year….sometimes listen to those reputations. People say things for a reason.

Please don't listen to what others have to say. You will know which is right for you as you go through recruitment. All of the sororities are great at UK. It's kind of weird that people like to say the girls in what are considered the top sororities at UK are mean. Sounds like sour grapes to me. Make your own decisions and don't base your opinion on what others have to say.

I don’t want to say, but I bet you could guess. My point is listen to your gut. I didn’t and I am miserable.
