sorority cobs ?
by: ?Can someone pls explain how do COBs work, how do u get them? Can you get one just by going to meet the sisters, when do they tell/offer you one etc.

The purpose of the Meet the sisters events are for the sororities to get to know u and for u to get to know the sororities. Even if they have a meet the sisters event, it doesn’t mean they are taking COBs. Sometimes though, sororities will offer bid during the fall semester if they really like you. In that case, you can join the sorority in the fall instead of waiting for formal recruitment in the spring. Sororities that offer COBs in the fall are usually because not enough people joined (in other words they didnt reach quota) them last spring rush
I may be wrong so someone correct me if I am:
The sororities offering COBs and looking to fill quota this fall are: Phi Mu, Delta Gamma, Sigma Kappa, and Alpha Chi Omega.
The sororities that are not offering COBs are Zeta Tau Alpha, Phi Sigma Sigma, Gamma Phi Beta, Sigma Delta Tau, and Alpha Gamma Delta
I hope this helps :) definitely consider going to a meet the sisters event for as many sororities as you can, just to check out the vibe and see if you like it. If you can’t decide, you can always wait until formal recruitment in the spring

You can kinda tell - bids are supposed to be given out by Sept 15 and Phi Mu / DG / SK / AXO all have recruitment events before then. Zeta, Phi Sig, Gphi, AGD, and SDT all have their meet the sisters after the deadline so they are not
