Rutgers New Brunswick is one of the largest public universities on the East Coast, and its Greek system reflects that scale. MGC and NPHC chapters generally intake on their own schedules, often through interest meetings and a more relationship-based process.

Housing is a bit of a mixed situation at Rutgers. Some chapters have houses or chapter facilities, but it's not the same setup you'd see at a school with a dedicated Greek row. A lot of social activity happens off-campus or at rented spaces, and members often live in regular university housing or apartments nearby.

As a Big Ten school with a massive undergraduate population, Greek life is one piece of a much larger social scene. It's genuinely active and has deep roots on campus, but it's not the only game in town the way it might be at a smaller school. Philanthropy events, formals, and intramural sports are all common across chapters, and many organizations have been present at Rutgers for decades.
