is axo going to be worth it?
by: newI know its a new sorority and so its gonna be a gamble to join since majority will be people who didnt get what they want during formal, but how long does it take a new sorority to be good? AXO has a general rep of being good at other schools so I was just curious. Any advice for someone who might want to join??

Honestly that’s the issue - you never know. When they were at Rutgers a couple years ago they were the worst of the worst, even our bottom tiers now didn’t reach their level of bad. If you want an idea of how they were just read their old rankings. They had a pledge class of 4 their last semester here.., 4....
so who knows, will they be bad like they were when they were here previously?
They could also be like Phi Mu and AGD were after 2 years of being really bad they were able to get better. You just never know. And that’s the big issue. The only thing that is sure is that their first 2 years will be very rough because the girls joining now will be the once’s that got rejected from other sororities. When you look at phi mu and agd’s founding classes they were rough - all the girls were super weird, miss matched and just didn’t create a cohesive sisterhood. Same thing will happen to them this year.
If you’re considering it then keep that in mind - also them being good at other chapters is totally irrelevant. DG is usually a top tier at other schools but we all know they aren’t far from that here. Phi Sig is usually pretty bad at other schools but their best chapter is here. G Phi is usually middle tier at other schools (and not common aside from northeast schools) but here are top tiers. You can’t expect this chapter to be the same as they are other schools, different schools and different girls and the fact that rutgers was really not ready for another sorority when Phi Mu, SDT, SK and DG are having trouble getting total means that AXO’s future is super uncertain.

I'm in the same exact position as you, where I am looking into joining but am not sure if itll be worth it. Honestly I think I'm going to ride out the process until after the invite only, figure out the vibe I'm getting from other women there, and then make my decision after the bid email.
Apparently there has been a large interest in AXO this semester, and I know many pretty/smart/fun girls were dropped during formal so I think AXO has a chance. The consultants continue to stress how they are not compromising on quality for quantity. Its obvious going to attract women who truly want a sorority experience and aren't afraid to put work into the chapter.
Formals/mixers/events have already been planned or are beginning to, so there will definitely be a social aspect. But it comes down to the girls who end up joining and how active they make it out to be. I think if enough quality girls take the risk and believe in making a difference it could be a really great chapter soon enough.

i think AXO can definitely be worth it.
look at Phi Mu and AGD- both sororities made their way out of the bottom tier in only a year or two. Phi Sig a few years ago made it to the top tier very quickly. it’s really all about the founding members and the work they put in.

Literally I have the same outlook on it as you. Go to the meeting after the interviews and see if the girls who get called back are people you vibe with ! I also saw a suprisngly decent group at the interest meetings !
