college life
by: OpinionDoes rutgers have a good party scene/ student lifetime ? How is it compared to other schools? Also do you feel like College is the best time fo your life? Overall, does rutgers suck or do people enjoy their time here?

most kids here were complete nerds in high school as ru really is a tough school to get accepted by, so most of the kids here telling you there having the time of there life are having that much fun cause they literally had no life in high school and if they did have a life it involved kids who couldn't spiral a football

I disagree @C. Rutgers is not that hard to get into lol, I’m not saying its a bad school but it’s not that competitive. The school has so many dif types of people and the majority are not nerds. Also the only people who had fun in high school are those who can spiral a football? That’s ridiculous. Like any other state school rutgers is a great time, but I agree that sometimes the academics get very hard so it’s hard to separate the fun times from all the work you have to do. Overall, rutgers is an amazing time/ school , which is something I think most could agree on.

People here work hard and play hard as much as they can with things like Greek life being in trouble. There definetly is a pretty big party scene here but a lot of people work really hard to balance it out. Just because some people are nerdy doesn’t mean people can’t party. Some of the craziest and most insane partiers I’ve met at Rutgers work insanely hard and will probably make bank when they graduate on top of having epic college years. However if you are looking for some headass raunchy parties with degenerates, you’ll have an easier time finding them at another school (try Rowan lol)

if you are looking for a traditional fraternity/sorority experience, go to a different school
rutgers has made it a mission to kick off any frat that gets good/fun and has the sororities walking on eggshells to avoid getting in trouble. anyone who saw how it was even last year compared to now can tell you the social scene at this school is headed downhill fast

true for now but I think it will change and they will get lenient again, just have to wait it out. Social scene will shift to something else, college kids know how to have fun.
