Sororities rankings

In my experience I joined a bottom sorority and once I joined I realized the rankings matter a lot. I wasn't in SK but it was still a lower house and I'd get sent away at the door, we barely got any sponsorships, and there was divide in our house because the better looking girls hated on everyone else and we're cliquey because they wanted to become a better house. Literally heard a girl say "were gonna lock all the f&t girls in the basement during recruitment" more than half of my original MC dropped because it was just not great overall and I've heard similar things about other bottom houses. To answer the second question Aphi is lower because they aren't as well liked by other sororities, but any frat guy would agree they're the top house and even thought its misogynistic, rankings heavily depend on frat relations.

People who actually drop, for whatever reason, just move on with their lives. They don't continue to hang around Greek Rank message boards. Same with your "alumni" posts. Stop trolling.

Many people on here are supporters of the WSU Greek system and we keep up on the happenings going on. I am so sorry you had such a terrible experience in your house. I had no idea that girls will get sent away at the doors of the frats. That didn’t happen in my own personal experience. But I was on a different campus.

I guess I’m just used to a Greek community that supported each other and understood that if one house falls, it negatively affects everyone else. People want to join a Greek community that has lots of different vibes and lots of choices. Not a Greek community that only has one or two “top” houses that most can’t join anyway. What would be fun or the point of that? 🤷‍♀️

Bottom line is if WSU’s Greek community had lots of good strong houses to choose from, there would be a lot more pnm’s signing up to go through recruitment. That would lead to more houses getting strong girls who are excited to make the community better for everyone and not just a select few. I guess this just doesn’t make sense to me.

A couple of questions. What houses on campus are known to have strong retention rates for their members? And what do the lower ranked houses think about the higher ranked houses?

Side note- a lot of the top houses also have lots of girls drop for various reasons. I know that some chapters lie about things to get girls in the door, but they can’t keep them.

What sororities have the best retention rate?

It is so true that if we have houses that can’t fill, they will eventually close. Then all the houses shift down.

The Greek system is only as strong as the weakest link. If all houses are filled and thriving, more and more people will want to join and it will be way more vibrant and fun.

We need to lift up all of our houses!!

I don’t get point #1. Girls have always gone for top houses like Aphi, KKG and DG and upper mids like KD/AXO/Theta/AGD. Girls think a house’s status is reflective of their own worth, which is sad, so they go for higher ranked houses. But that’s nothing new. How does it show things are getting stronger in general?? Lower numbers overall means things are getting weaker in general.

There’s just a lot of Instaface/Mar-a-Lago face but WSU guys are all MAGA so they eat that up. That’s why they’re so popular.

I’ve actually met lots of decent, smart, nice guys at WSU, it’s just the ones in the Greek System that are chuds. Which sucks because a lot of the women are good humans.
