feeding thetas' ego??

Why do y'all keep talking about thetas. As far as I can tell they mind their own business and all talking about them does is feed their ego that everyone seems to hate. No one can deny they're an attractive house and they seem to be doing fine academically. Sure some can be jerks and let their ego get the best of them but I've never experienced why everyone hates them so much. Can someone fill me in
