Rushing as a Junior
by: fruit jellyHey yall! I am a recent transfer at UTK and I was thinking about rushing as a Junior next fall! Do yall have any tips or tricks going into it?!? Thanks!
#1 by: Rushed as a sophomore
I rushed this year as a sophomore and found the sorority for me. I found rush to be a great experience and I met so many amazing people through the experience.
I did not research the sororities and went in with an open mind. It is more important to find a place you vibe with and not to worry about what is said about the sororities on the internet.
Use your college experience as an advantage during recruitment. Discuss your interests, leadership, and involvement. You can sell it that you can bring leadership and help the younger girls in your NM class. Be honest and explain your journey and why you are rushing as a junior.
It was easier for me. I was coming in with a year of school under my belt, so I knew that I could handle the classes, the workload, and being away from home. So, I did not have all those worries. I actually think that helped! I was nervous rushing as a sophomore in the beginning because you think sororities will want girls who can stay the whole four years. When the time for rush came, I just was myself and found the right spot.
I hope this helps! Good luck to you!
