These rankings are ridiculous
by: TruthfullyThere are several of these houses of girls that say on here that they are top and everyone wants to be in their sorority. If that is so, how come these “top” sororities had to resort to snap bids and participate in COB while “mid” ones are full? Obviously, you are not as popular as you think. Either you did not make quota or lost girls that did not want to be part of your sorority. Many of the girls during rush were not that impressed with some of the “top” sororities. But, keep telling yourself that you are the best when you are not.

Just for facts' sake, snap bids happen more and more to good chapters for two reasons: either the RFM numbers are not on trend and a sorority is given too many to release, even though they can and want to carry more to a round; or when a sorority decides to release more than their recommended RFM numbers, which they are allowed to do but not recommended to do. This can happen at any round, especially round 1, and then trickles down to pref and leaves a chapter short at bid matching. The result is snap bidding. Can happen at top recruiting houses as well as mid; happening more and more especially at larger schools. UF has had the same problem with strong chapters needing to snap bid. Or maybe it's the orange school colors, IDK.

It comes from thinking that everyone wants them and they are delusional. Then when they get dropped from the PNMs, there are not enough of them left for a pledge class. So, they have to do snap bids. It comes from believing you are better than you are…. I put some of the “top” sororities lower on my list because of the rude attitudes that I got. They made it out like I should be grateful that I was allowed to walk in their house. There was one “top” house that yelled at all the PNMs. That really made me want to be a part. Face it…. Lots of us were looking for true sisterhood instead of the BS. I did not want to hear how they are seen as a top house, I wanted them to show it. So, I feel that these “top” sororities are “top”. They are just the mean girls from high school that need to grow up.
