Just for facts' sake, snap bids happen more and more to good chapters for two reasons: either the RFM numbers are not on trend and a sorority is given too many to release, even though they can and want to carry more to a round; or when a sorority decides to release more than their recommended RFM numbers, which they are allowed to do but not recommended to do. This can happen at any round, especially round 1, and then trickles down to pref and leaves a chapter short at bid matching. The result is snap bidding. Can happen at top recruiting houses as well as mid; happening more and more especially at larger schools. UF has had the same problem with strong chapters needing to snap bid. Or maybe it's the orange school colors, IDK.
