wtf happened with rush????
by: phaive seen SOOOOOO many girls on my tiktok posting about how their dropping usf rush and how theyve all had such horrible experiences??? what the hell happened???

I think they’ve had horrible experiences because they think having good and pleasant conversations means you’re guaranteed to come back. Sometimes PNMs might have had a great convo but it’s not enough of a connection to put them high enough to be invited back. The sororities don’t determine how many they can invite back. It’s out of their hands. What PNMs should do is work with the list that DOES invite them back. It’s so rude to drop out of a process because you think you’re above going back to certain houses. Stick with the process and it might surprise you. Just my thoughts. Peace and love.

Just to clarify, the SEC does not determine how rush works. NPC does and it’s the same in the SEC as it is here. the issue I think this year is the deep cuts that all houses were forced to make each round may have left some girls with 1-2 houses. That is NORMAL. you should have 1-4 houses on avg by sisterhood. I’m sorry the people who say otherwise just don’t know what they’re talking about and like to complain.

Every year we go through this and someone says that Usf is doing it wrong. This entire process is run by NPC so it’s not even the school. I’m sure some people are disappointed, but it doesn’t mean that we don’t follow the exact same process. As other schools. People are disappointed at other schools too. It’s a tough process.

Former exec officer here: I think we’re just speculating about how many women were left with just one option for sisterhood round. All we need is the exact number of the amount or percentage of women who only got back 1 to 2 houses, the percentage of women who got back 3 to 4 houses or more for this round. Until you know that it’s just stories you see on social media and you really don’t know if anything is messed up or not.

The issue maybe is that nearly each house has high return rates and makes quota. So when every 8 houses cuts heavily each round, a ton of girls get limited options. And keeping the Greek life small at USF might be a goal of the university. Right now it’s like less than 10%. If the pha sororities took classes of 70 and very fall, each house would have 300 members and maybe that’s purposely being done.
