What was wrong with Elmo's PC last year?

New to UVA and am wondering why everyone keeps saying they messed up their rush last year. What happened?

We bidded the biggest losers and weirdos of all time. And as a result lost all our sorority relations and our parties have been empty. The Elmo basement is no longer ever packed. Box party sucked, aspen was mid, and our pc is 70% barrio and 10% 2nd years

Basically they glazed their top tier rushees and treated their second tier rushees horribly. Then the top rushees went DKE/Phi Psi, and the second tier rushees left for Sig Chi, SAE, and even Fiji. So Elmo had to take in a bunch of randoms at the last minute
