You're fine. Rush is the spring so you'll have the chance to meet more people, plus 1st round of rush involves going to literally every house if you want.
This fall, find the people you know here and ask if you can go to a party of theirs or even be put on their dirty rush list. This will get you a lot of chances to scope things out
