Sigma Kappa - ΣΚ Sorority at University of Massachusetts Amherst - UMA 2.5 if you want to be apart of something where girls support one another and have each other's backs, SK is not for you. Probably no sorority is to be honest. All they do is talk badly about each other and act as if they are above everybody else. They are not down to earth at all and think that just because they pay to be apart of this they are better than others on campus who do not participate in greek life. How do I know this? Because I used to be apart of SK and chose to disaffiliate so I was no longer involved with these types of people.

Sigma Kappa - ΣΚ Sorority at University of Massachusetts Amherst - UMA 4.7 When people think of good sororities at UMass they always think SK and Kappa (most likely because these girls are the hottest and they each have nice lettered homes right near Hagis Mall) Although Kappa is considered by most to be number 1, SK is undoubtedly much more well rounded with a huge presence in campus philanthropy (such as Dance Marathon) and academic excellence. The girls are beautiful and classy with solid grades and a loaded social calendar. These girls genuinely love each other and it is honestly so sweet. Can be stuck up but not as stuck up as KKG. Definitely one to out good effort in during rush this fall.

One of my friends tried doing early alum (basically disaffiliating without burning bridges, you're still considered a sister) but they wouldn't let her and forced her to disaffiliate. I heard about so much drama from SK at UMass it made me glad they dropped me (and that I ultimately didn't join any sorority).

They love to come off across as perfect and classy. Very nice to eachother but not nice to outsiders. Low rankings on here are all people who are jealous of them or have been made to feel excluded by them. There is no doubt that they are the top. House is in great location and is very cute. Any girl should be happy to call herself a sig kap but be warned that they care ALOT about putting on good girl put together image. See why they get hate because of their snobby vibes
