Sophomore rush
by: WonderingHellooo I’m rushing the sororities as a sophomore and I’m wondering what I should expect from the houses. Are there any houses that are just going to drop me right away because I’m a sophomore? Are there any houses who need sophomores right now?

Many of the sororities at Cal are very happy to bid sophomores. I would imagine some, who need to make larger releases after the first day, may give slight preference to freshmen. Highly recommend you sign up for recruitment and come in with an open mind to all chapters for a better sophomore recruitment experience.

ADPi specifically has a policy from their nationals to downscore anyone that isn't a freshman so beware. Also just in general it would be in your best interest to make it clear that even though you're a sophomore you're going to plan on living in the house-- that's what they really look for.
