I rushed with AY during my time at UCSC. It was the worst experience of my life. They gazed us so much and it was so embarrassing and exhausting. I honestly don’t know how this is legal, please save yourself and don’t rush

This sorority is just filled with a bunch of crazy girls that get drunk to die. Not blackout. I say they are mid at best. Definitely love to party.

It is a little silly AY is ranked as a frat on here but as local sorority AY has a lot of advantages over other sororities such as an overnight formal in a different city (was on a yacht in SF last time!), proposing and voting on all of our own bylaws, and having no national office to send money to meaning all of our dues go straight back to sisters! There are also tons of fun traditions that make AY special! AY is also certainly known for knowing how to have a good time!

some of my best friends were in ay! they constantly talked about how close everyone they were with their sisters. i went to a few date events & always had a good time! always was kinda jealous how they had less rules & things like overnight formals

i was traumatized my freshman year from these girls. they acted like high school mean girls who used to be losers and were exploiting the first social power they’ve had in their lives haha. some disliked me and i never knew why, think it was because i was really bad at pretending to care about changing myself to impress them?. hopefully mean girl behavior has gotten better , theyre a lot of fun

Alpha Psi is a local sorority so greekrank might not recognize them opposed to a nationwide Greek organization hence being in the Frat section. Hate all you want on Alpha Psi and their "overnight" formals and "cheaper dues". Alpha Psi has and always represents the best of Greek life and gives UCSC a good reputation.

AY rush party was the worst thing. I want to rush a sorority and I went to their prerush today and felt like they were so mean. I went with a few friends and they only went up to my white friends to talk about rush. It was so obvious and uncomfortable.
