The shift in sorority rankings summer 2026

Things are definitely shifting, and it's about time someone says it. This probably won't be popular with the traditional "top house" crowd, but rankings are not what they were 5–10 years ago.
The same handful of sororities aren't automatically at the top anymore. Things have leveled out a lot, and honestly, almost every house could make a case for being considered top depending on what you're looking for. The gap between what people call "top" and "lower mid" is much smaller than many want to admit.
Some chapters are losing desirability. Some aren't very involved on campus. Others are becoming more visible and gaining momentum fast.
Based on what things look like right now:
Top:
ADPi
Lower Top:
Phi Mu, DDD, KD
Upper Mid:
XO, GPhi, Zeta, SK, AXO
Mid:
AGD, AOPi, DG, Pi Phi, AXiD
Lower Mid:
DZ, Theta, KKG
Bottom:
Tri Sig
Before everyone attacks the rankings, remember that the difference between the "top" and "lower mid" groups is honestly minimal at this point. Auburn recruitment has become so competitive that every chapter is getting strong girls, and the rankings are much closer than people think.

I would mostly agree, with a couple edits:
ΦΜ down. Their dirty rush tactics need to be exposed.
ΑΞΔ down. They're trying but yearly COB shows they aren't there yet.
ΔΓ up. Noticing big strides in new members and leadership.
But you are right - so many strong houses here. Every chapter has amazing members.

I'm sorry, but saying it over and over doesn't make it true. AGD has hurt its own reputation by coming across as holier-than-thou, and a lot of PNMs simply aren't interested in that anymore. I saw someone else put it well: the only PNMs who are excited about AGD are the ones who are just like them. I personally know girls from last fall who ranked Theta, GPhi, and several other chapters ahead of AGD. Whether people want to admit it or not, their standing with many PNMs doesn't seem to be what it once was.

You have to admit that they are way less desired than in the past. Sure they are involved and have good grades but they just keep getting weirder and weirder. If DG and AXiD were moved down one, then this would be about right.

You don't have to agree with it, but that doesn't change what's happening. There are still so many moms and alums who refuse to let go of the old rankings. You can argue with it all you want, but things have changed, and this is the direction recruitment is heading. Sorry, not sorry!

If we're being completely honest and looking at things as they are right now, I think this ranking is spot on. PiPhi has always been way overhyped in my opinion, and I've heard from several people that many members dropped this past year because it wasn't what they expected after recruitment. AGD also seems to be turning off a lot of PNMs. I personally know a couple of girls who ranked AGD in their bottom five after IWT, and I think that says something. At the same time, several of the traditionally mid-tier chapters, Tri Delta, GPhi, Zeta, Sigma Kappa, and DG have been improving. They're recruiting strong pledge classes, becoming more involved on campus, earning recognition, and building momentum. I don't understand the sarcasm about some of these chapters being ranked too high. Looking at where things stand today, I think this ranking is right on target.

Calling everything you disagree with a self-rank is getting old. I'm not in either chapter and I wrote the post. The fact that this bothered you enough to comment says a lot more than my post does.
