where can gphib build?

I haven't heard of any real movement on them building a chapter house, but I have heard the "2017" that's been thrown around lately. So, I'm assuming they've had to decide on something (other than "yes, let's build a house")!
So, where COULD they build?
My guesses: between PiPhi & Sigma Nu, south of DZ on 13th... and that's what I've got so far.

No. Gamma Phi Beta's colors are brown and mode (dark and light brown). Phi Mu's colors are rose and white.
Both of their flowers are pink carnations though, although Phi Mu was founded in 1852 and Gamma Phi Beta was founded in 1874.

pc is correct, even though Gamma Phi uses pink in promo stuff and in general it isn't actually one of their official colors

Pink is an unofficial color.
The original colors are connected to the foundation of the gamma phi sorority. Pink was added much later after establishing connections to the Girls on the Run organization and since it would connect to the pink carnation. No one is trying to steal phi mu's Thunder. It's literally just something added to go with the philanthropic focus and mission.
And yes phi mu was founded first by 22 years but gamma phi coined the term "sorority" everyone before is considered a women's fraternity

Phi Mu actually dates back to 1904 when it stopped being the Philomathean Society and started being called Phi Mu. Just so y'all know.

Look at the Alabama Gamma Phi house. That's the most recent build (think it was finished this past fall), expect theirs to be just as grand.

No way they're getting anything remotel close to Bamas GPhi house. That was $12,000,000 . They're a new chapter, their nationals would be crazy to sink more than $8 mil on them. Esp because houses just aren't like that here, so they don't have to go that big anyway

I highly doubt the house will be as expensive as the Bama house, for the reasons noted but also because the average chapter size is much lower here than it is there, so the UF house wouldn't need to have as much space for housing, chapter, etc. However it could still be a good model for what the house may look like, just on a size/financial scale more appropriate for UF.

It's long and skinny compared to other houses on row, for sure; could be weird or great. Depends on if they hire the right architect

Idk if it will really end up being that skinny tho. The banner may not be covering the whole of the lot, so it could actually be wider irl. Either way it'll still be a really gorgeous house

Idk if the comment on them owning .84 acres right now was supposed to be good or bad but that's around the size of my parents house and it's not sorority house caliber...

It's actually .89 acres, or ~39,000 square feet. While not all of that land will end up as housing, most of it will, and with Sigma Kappa's house sitting at 25,000 sq ft and from what I could find TriDelt's being around the same figure (got both estimates from the Alligator site), Gamma Phi's house could easily end up being the biggest on campus. At the VERY least it would be up there as one of the largest, which to me would qualify as being "sorority house caliber," since size wise it would be competitive with the biggest houses on campus.

But they did. How many sorority houses are still from before the 80's? Some chapters have even be told they cannot do any renovations or rebuilds anytime soon. SK got a break, they just got it at the time that row needed to grow, too

The house is being put back to 2017 fall earliest and latest 2018 fall. Don't spread lies on here or any where else. It is a year later than they thought because we can't bulldoze houses that people are living in? Once they move out they're going to tear them down and do the leveling of the land. The only reason it's a later time is because they chose to purchase on row which will be better in the future. I think they made the right decision for future sisters and our years at UF.
