by: GtFL Alpha currently has a negative reputation on campus. Attitudes of recent members and alumni have created a problem for developing a positive brand for Sig Ep at Florida. The new Sig Ep colony at Florida will be a rebranded chapter, as the new colony will not be accepted by either Sig Ep National or the University under the old brand.

Although I continue to shop around for the best frat at Florida for me to join, I can't help compare all of the others to SigEp. They say they will improve my GPA and boost my reputation as a leader on campus. They even give out scholarships to reduce the cost of college. They are a no-hazing fraternity based on Christian ideas. I can even do the initiation ceremony in Spanish if I want. I know they are exclusive and selective, that they value quality over quantity. Just hope I'm invited to join!

Florida Alpha is moving forward rather than clinging to the past. It's a shame the former brothers couldn't live up to standards. If they did, they would have been winning awards, networking with alumni volunteers and industry leaders, and getting showered with donations to renovate the chapter house. Instead they chose to fail. It's really that simple.
