Not sure how true it is, but I heard they only watch the first part of each vid since there’s so many girls. Supposedly they also use some system that pulls info like GPA or where you’re from

sororities have pretty much decided who they want to invite back for round 2 already. it’s all done during the summer. that’s why people stress early registration so much

So are u screwed if u signed up late? I registered late for personal reasons but does that mean I prob won’t get any top houses even with a solid resume and EC

round 1 - open house (virtual now)
round 2 - philanthropy
round 3 - sisterhood

now that round 1 is virtual, chapters don’t get to meet you in person until round 2. so yes, chapters have been deciding who they’re going to invite back to round 2 the whole summer
and round 2 is called philanthropy because that is the focus of the round. The sororities that invite you back will explain their philanthropies and chapter dues.

^^ registering late DOES NOT mean you will automatically be dropped from “top” houses. all i’m saying is registering early gets you noticed. it gives time for sororities to look at your stuff more thoroughly, do some research on you, etc.
a huge number of PNMs register later in the summer. this puts sororities in a time crunch to review everyone which gets stressful.
in short, registering late just means you have a greater chance of being overlooked because there’s SO many girls they have to review in a short period of time. it does not mean you will be overlooked or dropped from “top” houses.
also almost every PNM has a solid resume and ECs, it’s UF. we’re really looking at your video to see if you have a genuine and good personality

it’s different for every chapter. just showcase the best aspect of yourself in every category. that’s all you can do just trust the process.

No, your video is not what sororities most care about. We look at everything. Resume and grades are important too.

We’ve been looking at your stuff since you posted on the UF 29 Instagram page looking for a roommate. We look at videos, social media, resume, and talk to sisters or friends in other chapters who might’ve gone to high school or be from same town. At UF mostly everyone has top grades unless you’re rushing at a sophomore and didn’t do well your freshman year. Most people are also impressive resume wise. So personality matters and unless we know you personally we are getting to know you through video and Instagram. If you get asked back to round 2 do your best to be your most confident self.
